Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

The Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics is seeking a licensed speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team of dedicated practitioners.  The SLPA will implement and follow the documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the Speech Language Pathologist. The SLPA will also document patient progress toward meeting established goals and reports this information to the supervising SLP.   

Education:  An associate's degree in an speech-language pathology assistant program or a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program and successful completion of a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of supervised field work experience or equivalent clinical experience with demonstration of competency in the skills required of an SLPA.

Experience:  Requires 1-3 years’ experience in a pediatric setting. Preferred experience in a pediatric setting for children with special needs.  Must possess specific skills and knowledge of speech-language therapy intervention techniques.

License/ Certification/ Registration: Must maintain a current, unrestricted professional license in the State of TN.
