Community workshops

Siskin Children's Institute is happy to support children and families by providing workshops that build skills and community. Workshops vary and are open to all families including those not currently receiving services at the Institute unless otherwise noted. See below for a current list of available workshops.


   November 9, 2019 | Head Injury Prevention

Join us as we partner with the Chattanooga Area Brain Injury Association to provide bike helmets to children in the community. Staff and volunteers will be on-site to properly fit each child with a safe bike helmet to help ensure good safety habits when riding bikes and other outdoor toys. Each child must be registered in advance to ensure they go home with a helmet. Registration Open! 

    November 12, 2019 | Family Voices Info Session- Cleveland, TN 

Family Voices of TN, Southeast Partnership and the Home and Community-Based Early Intervention (HCBEI) staff at Siskin Children’s Institute would like to invite families in Cleveland and the surrounding counties to attend one of two information sessions for families that are caring for children with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs. Join us to learn more about Family Voices of Tennessee, parent mentoring, and discuss, inclusive events in your area, and future training and workshops. 

   December 14, 2019 | Teaching Basic Communication Skills 

Siskin Children's Institute is proud to partner with the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center's  Treatment & Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) program and the Chattanooga Autism Center to provide  free workshops for parents of young children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
